Despite numerous private and multi-stakeholder initiatives aimed at enhancing economic prosperity, improving working conditions, and promoting ecological sustainability within the cocoa sector, sustainability concerns persist. Challenges include entrenched poverty, child labour among cocoa farmers, and deforestation resulting from cocoa farming expansion.
