Summary

This study examines the impact of RSPO certified palm oil production management on six environmental impact categories: global warming, eutrophication, acidification, photochemical ozone formation, human toxicity, and freshwater ecotoxicity. Findings report that RSPO certified mills cause the lowest environmental impact for all impact categories compared to non-RSPO and potential RSPO mills.
