Summary
The study draws on panel data (2010-2012) to evaluate the impact of Rainforest Alliance (RA) training and Farmer
Field School (FFS) training on tea smallholder farmers in Kenya. Using a Difference in Difference approach, the authors report on changes on the knowledge and implementation of Good Agriculture Practices, changes on Input, production and income, and the broader impact on farmers’ livelihoods. The study funds positive effects on knowledge and implementation, productivity and livelihoods, and concludes with recommendation for the future.
