Summary
Fair Wear Foundation, in partnership with the RVO, conducted a research project in the Turkish garment sector to improve due diligence, wages, and gender equity among Fair Wear member brands and their Turkish suppliers. The study aims to promote responsible business conduct in the Turkish garment sector. A two-part research study was conducted, with this report covering Part Two, which focuses on an analysis of garment factory's and brand's business conduct. For this, brand and supplier surveys were used alongside an analysis of brand Codes of Conduct. Findings revealed gaps in Codes of Conduct regarding fair wages and gender-based violence, as well as challenges related to achieving living wages and addressing workplace harassment.
