Summary
This report aims to develop a shared framework with which to understand, contextualize, and measure regenerative agriculture in the textile sector. Regenerative practices can play a key role in helping farmers develop more resilient systems, bringing immense social and environmental benefits. The report emphasises justice and equity, exploring the indigenous roots of regenerative agriculture and of past and current issues of racial injustice in the sector. The science behind soil carbon sequestration, amongst other environmental co-benefits, is also assessed.
