Research report

Published 2019 by Linking Environment and Farming (LEAF). Authored by LEAF

Summary

This seventh Global Impacts Report from LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming) reports on the progress made in sustainable agriculture by their certified farms and businesses. The report notes an increase in LEAF's global reach, and reports on the application of Integrated Farm Management (IFM) and other innovations. Overviews and case-studies indicate progress towards sustainability in the areas of farm management and planning, soil fertility, crop health, pollution control, animal husbandry, energy efficiency, water management, conservation, and community engagement. Finally, the report looks ahead to what a post-Brexit landscape might mean for British farmers, and LEAF's own goals of advancing scientific understanding and practical application of Integrated Farm Management, as well as and strengthening their M&E programme.
