Summary
This global impacts report from the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) examines the progress and improvements of MSC certified fisheries around the world, with a key focus on improvements made to reduce environmental impacts. 92% of certified fisheries have made at least one improvement relating to bycatch, habitats, endangered, threatened and protected species (ETP), and ecosystem structure and function through research, technical actions and impact assessments. Four key case studies are presented highlighting the range of improvement actions taken and their positive impacts.
