Summary
This report contributes to a global study on private sector involvement in landscape and jurisdictional initiatives, by the Tropical Forest Alliance (TFA) in partnership with Proforest and CDP. It seeks to enhance understanding of how companies utilize landscape and jurisdictional strategies as part of their corporate agendas and to chart a path for increasing private sector engagement and collaboration on a larger scale. By conducting interviews and research, the study examines the adoption of landscape and jurisdictional approaches by various stakeholders in addressing deforestation linked to commodities such as palm oil, soy, beef, pulp, paper, packaging, and cocoa. It also explores alternative applications of strategies to align with corporate environmental and social objectives, while providing insights on how companies can maximise their efforts and foster cooperation.
