Summary
This research briefing draws out key insights from the Good Growth Partnership’s (GGP) forest positive
approach to addressing commodity-driven deforestation. The GGP has employed a systems-thinking
approach to tackle problems embedded in complex supply chains. The briefing captures lessons from their work in a range of commodities and geographies – beef in Paraguay, soy in Brazil and palm oil in Liberia and Indonesia. Supplemented with insights and evidence from other research on this topic, our briefing is aimed at practitioners working in this field to support learning from the GGP’s approach, to understand what has worked to drive changes in behaviour and practice.
