Summary
This report assesses the 2,000 most influential companies worldwide on their commitment to human rights, decent work, and ethical conduct. To create this social benchmark , the World Benchmarking Alliance analysed these companies’ publicly available data, assessing their performance on 18 core social indicators. The social benchmark report details 5 key findings, most notably indicating that 90% of the companies fall short of meeting fundamental expectations on human rights, decent work, and ethical conduct. It is recommended that substantial improvements in corporate conduct must be implement if the Sustainable Development Goals are to be reached.
