Summary
This report rates the progress made by the European Union (EU) and its member states on the latest Common Fisheries Policy (CFP). To do this assessment, it refers to various data available in the public domain and reports to through a scorecard. It concludes that out of the 46 CFP actions, only one has been achieved by all members, 50% of the actions have been partly accomplished and the rest are yet to be addressed. It recommends the EU to take critical action to deliver the objectives of this policy to secure sustainable livelihoods of coastal communities and to build resilient fish populations.
