Summary
This Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials report looks back on the year 2016 and presents the improvements and growth of the RSB standard in different sectors. It also reflects on the first detailed study on RSB's impact, which has shown a significant growth in the number of hectares and industrial sites certified by RSB, which results in extensive GHG savings as well as more sustainable practices by smallholder farmers. Furthermore, the report the report presents the new membership offering and welcomes that RSB is now represented in three more countries, namely Tunisia, Sri Lanka and the Philippines.
