Summary

This paper explores the influence of the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the UN 'Protect, Respect and Remedy' Framework, after three and six years of implementation respectively, in the mining sector policy and practice. Results seem to show that a systemic change is yet not evident, eventhough the guidance and framework represent a good authorative focal point and clarificatory tool.
