Summary

This study explores price premiums for the MSC-label, the method of fishing, the product form, and the country of origin on chilled pre-packed haddock and cod in UK supermarkets. The researchers carried out 68 weekly observations in seven supermarkets, and found a 10% and 18% price premium for 'line-caught' cod and haddock respectively, as well as a 10% price premium for MSC certified haddock.
