Summary
The third edition of Fairtrade International monitoring report, published in 2012, evaluates the impact of Fairtrade on farmers, workers, their families and on communities as a whole. The data used in this report was collected during audits conducted on Fairtrade certified producer organisations in 2011. It furthermore presents results on key Fairtrade performance indicators from a producer perspective. The data indicates that Fairtrade has continued to grow in participation numbers as well as in the volume of products. Independent studies conducted in 2011 additionally show that Fairtrade contributes positively to productivity, income and the development of communities.
